Life and career
Andre Johnson was born in Miami and starred at the University of Miami before Houston drafted him third overall in 2003. He spent 12 seasons with the Texans and became the expansion franchise's defining offensive player of its first era.
Johnson earned seven Pro Bowl selections and first-team All-Pro honors in 2008 and 2009. After short final stops with Indianapolis and Tennessee, he became the first member of the Texans Ring of Honor in 2017 and was enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2024.
